You really shouldn't be so easygoing. Have a little more skepticism for people.

but it's like... what good does telling someone they're lying do?
they're not going to be like, "oh, you're right, haha. i'm sorry."
maybe they'll get angry. maybe they'll yell, or make trouble.
maybe they'll just stop talking to me?

if someone wants me to know the truth, they'll tell me.
but if they don't, it's just. so much easier to nod and smile.

I do understand, but even so,
It's one thing to go along with what people are saying, and another to believe it.
Actually, I don't particularly believe anything I'm told.
